É«»¨Ìà is excited to shareÌýthat Google Arts and Culture has launched the platform,Ìý!

 

 

The collection has been gathered for more than a year and now, but it couldn’t be more timely. Now more than ever it is important that we celebrate theculture, influence and experience of Latinos and our positive impact on the social fabric of the United States. Today, we are making that community’s rich history accessible to everyone.

 

Through the collection, which includes more than 2500 works of art and archives and 69 new exhibits, anyone, anywhere can exploreÌýthe lives of influential Latino figures, learn aboutÌýLatinidadÌýand U.S. Latino art, and experience cultural traditions. It includesÌýimportant Latinos in news and entertainment, the story ofÌýiconic New York institution Ballet Hispánico, Puerto Rican baseball playersÌýlikeRoberto Clemente WalkerÌý(whoÌýalso servedÌýasÌýaÌýU.S.ÌýMarine) and theÌýDream 9, a group of undocumented young people who changed history. You can visit some of the most vibrant neighborhoods in the U.S. that are centers of Latino culture, by way ofÌýhistoric photographsÌýorÌýunmissable locationsÌýon Google Street View, andÌýdive into ultra-high resolution images of iconic Latino murals, such asÌýDiego Rivera’sÌýDetroit IndustryÌýfrom the Detroit Institute of Arts and Mundos de Mestizaje in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
